Since the ward boundary review the Wards and Constituency boundaries were no longer coterminous (i.e. lined up) this has meant that some wards have been spread between 2 or more constituencies, in addition the demographic profile of the district has altered as areas have been regenerated and buildings knocked down/built. For these reason the boundary commission for England carried out a boundary review.
The review has made a recommendation and it is expected that an order will be made such that they will be used for the next general election. It should be noted however that that existing boundaries are still in effect until the next general election takes place.
Available are the standard range of reports.

• NEW Ethnic Group Themes at OA that illustrate the distribution of Ethnic Groups within Bradford District. If there is data from the Census (or other data sources) that you feel could be usefully mapped in this way, please contact us.
• NEW Graphs added to 2001 Census Report, at the moment there are no plans to extend this to other reports, however if you feel there is a need for them please contact us and providing their is sufficent demand we will add them.
• NEW Middle Layer Super Output Areas added (Lower Layer Super Output Areas are already in the system).
• NEW Indices of Deprivation 2004, available at SOA level, which is are a lot smaller than the wards that previous IMD2001. In addition to the overall deprivation score, each of the "domains" have their own maps as have the 20% most and least deprived SOA'S nationwide. Finally hovering the muse pointer over an area gives you information about the score and the rank amongst all of the SOA's in England.
• NEW 2001 Population density map, available at the much finer level reduced postcode level rather than the 1991 Population density map only at the much blunter Census ED's. Additionally hovering the mouse pointer over a postcode when zoomed in gives further information. The postcode areas have been "cropped" to the residential areas so that for example postcodes which consist of an small area of residential area and a much larger area of fields has been reduced to the residential area. Therefore the population density is of the density of people in the residential area. NOTE: Because of the quantity of data with this layer turned on the map may be slow to appear or update.
• NEW Local Authority and Regeneration Areas added to the map including the new Area Committee boundaries.
• NEW Map printing, right click on the map and select print->print from Popup Menu.
